Tosca with Perfecto Connect

If you test an app that needs to fetch data that is only accessible from within your company's local network, you can use Perfecto Connect with Tosca. Perfecto Connect allows you to test mobile and web apps that are in your private network and therefore not publicly accessible. With Perfecto Connect, you can establish a secure tunnel to allow Perfecto services access to the non-public app or data.

These instructions assume that you have already downloaded and set up Perfecto Connect and have your tunnel identifier (tunnelId) ready. For details, see Perfecto Connect.

Setting up Tosca with Perfecto Connect involves creating an extra test step to pass the tunnelId and including the Perfecto security token in your test. For the Triscentis instructions, see the article in the Tricentis Knowledgebase.

To set up Tosca with Perfecto Connect:

  1. To pass the tunnelId, create a Set Desired Capabilities test step by adding the module of the same name, available in Standard Subset, to the test.

  2. In the test configuration parameters, include the PerfectoToken, which is the Perfecto security token. This enables you to establish the connection.
