Troubleshoot user issues

This article includes troubleshooting tips for common user issues.

Problem Solution

User set up with external authentication (IdP) cannot log in. The following error message appears:

Invalid username or password.

There may be a discrepancy between the username as it is spelled in Perfecto and the username as it appears in the IdP system. In this case, do the following:

  1. In the Users view, select the user whose details you want to edit.
  2. On the toolbar, click More actions .
  3. From the list, select Edit.
  4. In the Edit user dialog box, in the IDP username field, enter the username exactly as it is configured in the IdP system. If you are unsure about the exact spelling and cases used, verify with your IdP administrator.

  5. Save your changes.
