Administrators and non-admin users can see who is using a device

Note: This article is relevant for Cloud Administrators only.

In the Select Device window, you can display the device status (e.g. availablebusy) by hovering over a device in the status column.

Administrators receive more detailed information about the device status than non-admin users. For example, if the device is being used by another user, the Administrator can see who is currently using the device.

You can grant other users permission to view the same detailed device status as the administrator.

To allow non-administrator users to see the detailed device status of other users in the same group, do one of the following:

  • Assign the role STATUS_VISIBILITY to a specific user(s)
  • Set the property
    selectHandsetDialog.displayAdvancedStatus=true
    in ui.local.properties
    Note: All users in the cloud will see the detailed status.

To allow non-administrator users to see the detailed device status of other users in a different group, do one of the following:

  • Assign the role STATUS_FULL_VISIBILITY to a specific user(s)
  • Set the property
    selectHandsetDialog.displayAdvancedStatus=true
    in ui.local.properties
    Note: All users in the cloud will see the detailed status.
