Some pages and applications will require custom client certificate in PKCS #12 format. When such scenario is faced you will be required to install the certificate on your device.
Please follow these steps
- Copy the certificate file to the downloads folder on the device card using the "File transfer" widget:
- Go to Settings > Security > Credential Storage(path varies between os version, model and make), and then tap Install from device storage.
The Certificate Installer looks in the folder named download on the SD card for certificates to install. Certificate files should have the extension .pfx or .p12 (PKCS #12 format). Once you add the security certificate it is deleted from your SD card.
- To verify that a root certificate is installed, go to Settings > Security > Trusted Credentials and see if it is listed.
