Problem

Sometimes when running a long test in Google Chrome, the cache fills up and causes some commands not to work properly.

Solution

You need to start the test with a clean cache and, if necessary, also clear the cache midway into the test.

Clear the cache manually

On some devices, you can clear the Chrome browser cache through the device settings, as follows:

  1. Go to Settings > Application Manager.
  2. Go to Chrome.
  3. Under Cache, click CLEAR CACHE.
  4. Click FORCE STOP.

On some devices, you can clear the Chrome browser cache through the Chrome browser itself:

  1. In Chrome, click the menu.
  2. Select Settings > Privacy & Security.
  3. Click Clear browsing data.

Use the Browser Clean command to clear the cache

You can use also the browser clean command, which will re-install the latest Chrome version on the device, providing a brand new browser. However, when run for the first time, the browser opens an Accept Terms pop-up that needs to be clicked. This can be done manually or as part of your test.
